Key Takeaways from the 6th InterLynk General Assembly in Trieste
Evaluating scientific progress and refining strategies in the final phase of our collaborative endeavor.
The 6th Annual InterLynk General Assembly was hosted on January 18th and 19th, 2024 at the premises of the DoubleTree Hotel in Trieste, Italy, amidst challenging weather conditions, including bora wind and rain. Despite the stormy weather, the enthusiasm of our multidisciplinary team of researchers was unshakable. In this lively and spirited environment, ideas flowed freely and collaborations grew stronger as we now steer toward the final stage of our research journey. Remote participation options were provided for members unable to attend in person.
The assembly began with InterLynk Coordinator, Prof. João Mano (Universidade de Aveiro), outlining the key priorities for the final year of the project and setting the agenda for this two-day meeting. This was followed by insightful presentations from various partner institutions, sparking dynamic discussions, and exchange of innovative concepts and future research avenues.
A major highlight of the second day was the introduction of a new educational video game by Promoscience, soon to be launched on the InterLynk website. Attendees had the opportunity to test and offer feedback on the game, contributing to its refinement.
The summit's closing remarks set the stage for the upcoming 7th Annual InterLynk Assembly in July 2024 in Berlin, which promises to be a pivotal event. This gathering will be crucial in delineating the final stages of our research, as it will occur just six months before the culmination of our collaborative project, marking a decisive moment in defining the path to completion.
